Friday, we attended "SKYBARk" and met up with our friends from Savor the Success (an online Boutique for women entrepeneurs. 2 of my FAV pooches I spent some quality time with, were "Beau" Janine Franceschi's beautiful Irish setter (from PAW "Pet Friendly Accomodations Worldwide) and "SOX "son" of Ricki Noto owner of ArfDog... you've got to check out these websites www.luxurypaw.com and www.arfdog.com.
Sunday we went to see the movie "Hotel for Dogs", which made my entire family cry like babies...Alexis was a mess when the ... and the .... and then the .....oh right, you haven't seen the movie yet. Well, next time ColdSpring Movies & Nickelodeon makes a movie, I hope K9Confections get's an eighth of the spotlight a certain unmentionable dog food company got.
The movie made me think alot about shelter dogs, which leads me to discuss a new artist who's taken his skill to help a worthwhile cause http://www.adoptapet.com/. The artist Shephard Fairey whose iconic Obama print was recently declared a national treasure when inducted into the Smithsonian's National Portrait Gallery, created the ADOPT image to support Adopt-a-Pet.com's efforts to get adoptable animals out of shelters and into homes.
Talk about using your talent for a good cause! Let's hope the Obama's adopt a dog (or two or three), I think they have the room in the White House!
